AAC/Communication Devices & Aids
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is a term used to describe methods of communication that are used to supplement or replace speech or writing for individuals with communication difficulties. These difficulties may be due to developmental disorders, such as autism or cerebral palsy, or acquired conditions, such as stroke or traumatic brain injury. Inclusive supplies a range of AAC devices from low-tech communication aids, such as picture or symbol boards, to high-tech devices that use voice output, text-to-speech, or eye gaze technology to enable individuals to communicate with others.
