Headset jack (usually with audio cutoff)

A headset jack allows a user to connect the product to an external audio processing device (such as an amplifier) or an appropriately equipped TTY .  This is a useful feature for people who have hearing loss, or who prefer to use a headset because of difficulty using their hands or fingers.  The audio cutoff increases privacy, where relevant.

A headset jack addresses:

1193.41(e) Operable with limited manual dexterity.

1193.41(f) Operable with limited reach and strength.

1193.43(g) Availability of audio cutoff.

1193.51(b) Connection point for external audio processing devices.

1193.51(d) Connection to TTYs.

There are no Product Types that generically include a headset jack.
